Quick & Classy with My Mind’s Eye 2012: This class was taught by Sophia at Strictly Scrapbooking. She was a hoot! She had us all laughing from the get go and she put together some great pages with some really fun embellishments. I actually enjoyed the two types of flowers we created (i normally panic when they say we have to "make" flowers) with this kit. The crepe paper flower you can see below and there was another flower that was created with lace and a large glue dot. (That page isn't quite done yet!)
Got Your Number Album Workshop: This was a 3 hour workshop taught by Shelbi Bywater from Creating Keepsakes. Looking back i think this was my favorite class of the weekend. I am already planning other number oriented pages that will go in this album.
2012 Latest & Greatest with Basic Grey: This is a class i look forward to every year that is taught by Shelby at Embellish It! She is so much fun and she moves through the easy stuff so we are sure to have time to learn some new tricks! this is just one of the four layouts from that kit class.
I've been wanting to scrapbook these photos for a long time and while i was making copies i noticed my Grandpa's handwriting on the back of the photos. So i copied that too and incorporated it into the layout. His handwriting was always very hard to read so i plan on putting a "translation", so to speak, as a pull out tab behind the journalling. This layout originally had 4x6 photos laid across the middle of the pages with a bicycle motif on the right side. I ditched the bicycle and use a Close to My Heart alphabet set to create the title along with these great hot air balloon stamps from Stampin' Up!
Scrapbooking Off the Grid: This was another class taught by Shelbi Bywater (I'm a big Shelbi Bywater fan!)from Creating Keepsakes. I tend to be very linear in my scrapbooking so these layouts were right up my alley! And I always have fun travel pictures on hand, even if it's just "local" travel.
